About Me

My photo
Food Advokat
Who is the Food Advokat? I am a native New Yorker who was born to a Finnish-American mother and a Greek father. I am a new mother and my husband is Brazilian. My friends are American, Cuban, Filipino, Chinese, Moroccan, French, Malaysian, and from probably 50 other countries from around the world. In other words, I am your average NYC inhabitant. Through these friendships and the experience of being raised in New York, I have come to eat, and love, all sorts of food. Although my days are filled with legal briefs and court appearances, my nights are filled with moussaka and pate choux. I started this blog to share my thoughts and recipes, and to also give my friends a well-deserved break from my constant lectures on food. Although I welcome questions, comments or corrections, please keep negativity out of my happy world :) Katerina Duarte
