They look really delicious and remind me of nights in another land (smile).
That drink doesn't look half bad either!!!Stellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12441053969652689705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7890731188772431695.post-67052812549551381042010-06-13T14:29:29.316-04:002010-06-13T14:29:29.316-04:00Dear Kat - How wonderful a feast you've made. ...Dear Kat - How wonderful a feast you've made. I adore the Brazilian cod fish appetizers and the collard greens blew me away! I have never seen them cut this way and now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense!

Why cook them as big chunks in bacon grease? This is so much healthier. I love that the pork turned out well :) It looks so very inviting.

You are such a good hostess and I am sure your friends must have been touched by your gesture, cooking them this wonderful traditional Brazilian meal.

Speaking of traditional, I nagged my dear friend who was visiting Brazil to bring me back a bottle of dende - so soon, I will be fixing the traditional fish stew...all I needed was the dende - after all no self respecting foodie would fix the stew without it, right?

You of all people would understand this :)

LOVED the wonderful comment you left me on the blog - the fact that you took pains to write in such details was much appreciated.

Ciao, Devaki @ weavethousandflavorsDevaki @ weavethousandflavorshttp://www.weavethousandflavors.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7890731188772431695.post-64843157622030709712010-06-13T12:02:47.640-04:002010-06-13T12:02:47.640-04:00Pitchers are definitely a great idea and I have ma...Pitchers are definitely a great idea and I have made them before. As I told my great/Brazilian friend Astrid, only problem is people go through them so fast! I end up going through twice as much cachaca :) When I do a pitcher I like making the passionfruit one since it ensures even flavor. With lime there is never enough juice so when you pour/scoop out with a ladle, some have more lime pieces than others. Either way people will enjoy them and get nice and tipsy!Food Advokathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03404721300906073753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7890731188772431695.post-62259483056671590612010-06-12T12:01:26.956-04:002010-06-12T12:01:26.956-04:00You should make caipirinha pitchers!!
